Kita Isernhagen F.B.: Great festival for nature and new adventures!
in the Fuchsbau daycare center in Isernhagen F.B. The joy was great when three occasions were celebrated on June 27, 2025: the five -year existence of the facility, the official inauguration of an adjacent forest and the new name of the daycare center. As the Johanniter reports, numerous families, the employees of the Johanniter and members of the volunteer fire brigade came together to celebrate with a colorful festival.
The adjacent forest will be integrated into pedagogical work in the future in order to offer the children new learning opportunities. Anne Bergmann, the head of the daycare center, was enthusiastic about the expansion of the educational offer: "The children are really looking forward to using the forest as a place of learning." However, the implementation of this project was not a sure -fire success; Rather, a two-year preparation was necessary to integrate the forest into the daycare work. The cooperation between the municipality of Isernhagen and the Johanniter-Accident Aid as the bearer of the day care center finally enabled this project.
The forest as a place of learning
The meaning of forest and nature for early childhood education is increasingly recognized. As a specialist study shows, the stay in nature opens up numerous natural language events. Children learn topics such as seasons, animals and plants in a playful way, which not only promotes their language, but also their social skills. Forest days have now established themselves as a valuable instrument to support children in their development. Regular trips to nature show positive effects on the language development of children, and inhibitions that many feel when speaking are broken down. In the Kita Leithestrasse in Gelsenkirchen, for example, the children experience forest days together once a month, which is evident in their behavior and skills.
Such a concept was also taken over in the Fuchsbau daycare center. The nature teacher prepared the children in a playful way for dealing with the forest. These preparations not only included theoretical content, but also practical activities. Together, the children developed their own ideas for the new place of learning and helped buy materials such as protective gloves, children's saws and hammocks. The parents also showed their commitment: in a work assignment, they helped prepare the forest, supported by the Isernhagen F.B.
volunteer fire brigadecelebrations and supporters
The highlight of the festival was performed a daycare song that the children had rehearsed together with the Isernhagen music school. Anne Bergmann thanked all supporters, also among the parents and the nature conservation officer Anika Oppermann, whose commitment was crucial for the success of the project. The celebrations took place in a happy atmosphere, with the social exchange and the networking of the families in the foreground.
The integration of the forest into the Fuchsbau daycare center is a step in the right direction to enable children to learn holistic learning in nature. Experts point out that nature experiences are essential for the development of children. They not only promote motor skills and self -confidence, but also social skills and a deeper connection to the environment. This makes the Fuchsbau day care center not only a place of education, but also to a place where children can experience nature in all its facets.
It remains to be hoped that such projects will school and follow other daycare centers in order to bring the beauty and diversity of nature closer to the children.
