Model railway magic in Grohn: The big day of driving for young and old!

On Sunday, October 5, the model railway fans Bremen opened their goals for the annual driving day in Grohn and gave the many interested parties an exciting insight into the fascinating world of model railways. The impressive 100 square meter complex, which is supplied with power by 1.5 kilometers of cables, attracted numerous visitors. The deputy chairman Torsten Frenzel was pleased with the lively participation and especially about the number of children in the club, which now has 30 members, including seven young people. This hits the nerve of the time, because as Moba Germany reports, a healthy offspring is of great importance for the existence of the associations.

A highlight of the day was the presentation of a detailed diorama on the topic of "Day of Savior". Erik Hansen visited the facility with his sons and his father and was enthusiastic about the detail of the model railroaders. The 13-year-old Nico Kruse shared his passion for model construction and, as he was able to win his father, Ralf Jagosky, again for the hobby. This intergenerational enthusiasm impressively shows how young and old are connected to each other in club life.

Diversity and innovation

The club members are extremely active and continuously work on new projects. The most recent example is a two -meter -long bridge added to the facility. At the same time, twelve to thirteen trains can drive on the railway line, which are always kept in mind by club members. A train takes around four to five minutes to circle the 25 meter long distance, with the fastest train, the ICE, always causing a sensation.

Klaus Liebschwager and his grandson Ayden are regular visitors to the club and enjoy the variety of model railways presented. In addition, the group founded in 2008 is able to issue donation certificates, and in the event of a dissolution of the association, the assets would go to a children's hospice, a generous gesture that ensures great praise.
The [Modelleisenbahnfreunde Bremen e.V.] (https://www.vip-bremen-nord.de/ presented/modelleisenbahn_bremen.html) are also entered in the register of associations under No. 7179 and have received the non-profitability since their foundation. A remarkable initiative that not only attracts model railroad lovers, but also strengthens the sense of community and social ties in Bremen.

Youth work for the future

So that the interest and enthusiasm for the model railway can continue to maintain in the coming years, youth work is a central topic that enriches the association's work. Various concepts for recruiting young people, such as the cooperation with schools and the establishment of school AGs, are actively pursued. These initiatives are not only designed to inspire children and adolescents for the hobby, but also to promote the exchange of knowledge between the generations.

At the same time, numerous events such as exhibitions, open house or model railroad exchanges show that the model railway has not only created a hobby, but also a community that likes to share its knowledge and progress. The model railway is more than just a leisure activity - it is a great adventure that connects generations and occupies a very special place in Bremen.
