Ralf Voigt returns: New coach of the Bremer SV in the regional league!
Hemelingen, Deutschland - A new wind blows at the Bremer SV: Ralf Voigt, who has already held the coaching post in the past, takes over the sporting reins of the club again. In the coming season, the 59-year-old will not only act as a coach, but also as a sporting director, as the club manager confirmed during the presentation of the new jerseys. The former coach Sebastian Kmiec, who announced his farewell after a narrow defeat in the cup final against Hemelingen, is replaced.
The decision to get Voigt back on board comes in a challenging time for the Bremer SV. Despite the financial restrictions, the association has a budget of almost 400,000 euros, which is at the lower end of the regional league competition. Voigt found that the current situation is the "hardest time" for the club, not least because the squad has to be re -established using lower salaries. The obligation of 18 players is opposed to the total of savings compulsion, which is all the more noticeable due to the lack of the DFB Cup participation than the association lost 180,000 euros due to the defeat in the Lotto Cup final against Hemelingen.
realignment under Voigt
In order to remain competitive in the Regionalliga Nord, a clear realignment is required. Voigt already has commitments from twelve potential new new ones, while players who stay in the club have to expect financial losses to increase the budget from 370,000 to 400,000 euros. Work is being carried out on the squad planning, even if the association cannot afford a number of expenditure of around 450,000 euros last year. Bjarne Kasper, Fritz Kleiner and Luca Mittelstädt will have to leave the club in the future.
In this restructuring phase, the Bremer SV has won new sponsors and can look back on a successful crowdfunding campaign that brought in around 20,000 euros in just two days. This compensated for part of the financial failure of 115,000 euros. The "BSV Freunde Group" and anonymous donations also contribute to the necessary financial support, even if clear sporting goals cannot be formulated due to the still tense financial situation.
regional league with challenges
The Bremer SV is not only in its difficulties. While some traditional clubs from the Regionalliga Nord are struggling to return to higher leagues, amateur football is often in the shade of bankruptcy reports and problems with promotion regulations. There are major challenges to get the financial issues under control in the five regional regional Germany, which is not only relevant for the Bremer SV. The regional league acts as an interface between professional and amateur football, and as already reported, 20 clubs in the regional league have registered bankruptcy in recent years.
In the northeast, clubs such as the Bremer SV require reforms to make the promotion regulations more fair. Clubs are currently struggling with regard to their financial stability as well as to clarify higher expenses for players and infrastructure.
The Bremer SV has decided to continue playing in the Regionalliga Nord and hopes for a successful season with Ralf Voigt at the top. The challenge will be to build a strong squad despite restricted financial resources and maintain the hope of the fans for a positive sporting development.
With a clear plan and the support of fans and sponsors, the Bremer SV could create the turnaround, which is urgently needed to develop an upswing from this "hardest time".
