The details of the blocking are as follows: The Arsten exit will be closed on Tuesday and Thursday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. on the following day, while the Hemelingen exit cannot be used on Wednesdays in the same time frame. However, the driveway to the A1 in both districts remains open at all times, which is certainly a relief for the commuters. Interestingly, the traffic in the direction of Osnabrück remains unaffected by these renovation work.

Since the route is heavily frequented, corresponding diversions are used. For the Arsten exit, the traffic to the Hemelingen junction is directed before going back to Arsten using U-Turn. It is important to be particularly attentive here, because the diversions should be well signposted.

The renovation itself started on Monday, May 12th, and will continue until autumn. At this point, further work between the Brinkum and Oyten junctions is planned in both directions. A focus should also be on the upcoming change of traffic routing on the Weser Bridge in August, which will result in two traces in both directions.
