Free security training for young drivers in the Osterholz district!

In the district of Osterholz, an exciting offer for beginners is on the table! From now on, young drivers and motorcyclists can complete two free security training that was launched by the Osterholz district. The goal? Increasing safety in road traffic and reducing the risk of accidents in this endangered age group. The providers of these valuable training are the adac weser-ems and the Bremervörde-zeven .

The age group of 18- to 24-year-olds in particular is at risk in road traffic, it provides a disproportionately high proportion of traffic accidents. It is increasingly recognized that lack of experience and typical behavior of young people often lead to risky situations. In order to counteract this trend, the district now offers more than just a valuable opportunity, but also an incentive by vouchers that can be distributed specifically in schools. Individuals also have the chance to benefit from this offer.

highlights of the safety training

The security training takes place on the driving training facility in Bremen-Mahndorf and are managed by the experienced ADAC team. The participants not only learn how they can better assess the limits of their vehicle and their own skills, but also how they react correctly in critical situations. A training focus is, for example:

  • exercises for correct braking
  • techniques for intercepting and stabilizing a slinging vehicle
  • Many other practical tips and driving exercises

The young people are not left alone. Schools in the district, such as the Osterholz-Scharmbeck high school and the IGS Osterholz-Scharmbeck, are invited to form groups and organize an appointment for the events. The district assumes the costs for the training, which are financed from the excess of the speed camera.

A call to participate

Participation in these security training is possible for students who have a driver's license (also with BF17). Interested parties can simply contact their traffic education teachers and find out more about vouchers and further details. Christian Kugeler, who takes over the organization for the district of Rotenburg/Wümme, is available for questions at k_kluger@web.de or kristian.kugeler@st-viti.net

The example of driving safety training in Germany shows where the path leads. The introduction of such programs has proven itself in countries like Austria. There, the number of traffic accidents was drastically reduced by 17- to 24-year-olds in the past 20 years. Experience from other regions also show the need for such important training. Therefore, it is time for young drivers to sharpen their skills and start road traffic more safely.

The contacts of the respective institutions are available for more information. So Philipp Poitner from the ADAC Weser-Ems can be found at Philipp.poitner@wem.adac.de and Reiner Wintj from the Verkehrswacht at Wintjen@verwacht-brv-zeven.de can be contacted.
