Osterholz athletes shine at the 8th Bremen bridge run!

Osterholz-Scharmbeck, Deutschland - on the 8th Bremen bridge run, which was recently held in Bremen, proved athletes from the region that they have a good knack when it comes to the race. The event attracted numerous participants and offered exciting competitions in different age groups. The young runners in particular ensured strong placements that promise enjoyable prospects for the youngsters.

But not only the little ones could shine: Nele Ramm, who competed without a club from Osterholz-Scharmbeck, was second in the U12 female with 4:31 minutes, back behind the superior Charlotte Herm. And the little athletes also impressed in the Bambini runs; Karla Deppe (SV Arminia Freißenbüttel) took second place in the W7 category with 1:20 minutes, directly behind Pia Wieland from Syke. Eddy Ramm came to third place in the boys of the M6 ​​in 1:32 minutes - a real talent from the region!

The five kilometer run of the male youth U14 was contested by Toni Deppe (SV Komet Pennigbüttel), who took second place with a time of 22:17 minutes. The athletes from the Osterholz district were also active and successful in the adult categories. Antje Kolbe (without a club, Osterholz-Scharmbeck) won the women W40 by lying the distance in 26:17 minutes. A remarkable performance!

The routes were challenging and many participants showed remarkable achievements. Tobias Riebe ninth landed with the men M40 with a time of 54:38 minutes, and Luca Lüllmann was also able to assert himself in the M30 with 54:38 minutes in the 13th place. Among the women of the W30, Lena Kunkemöller (TV Falkenberg) secured third place with 49:50 minutes.

In the half marathon there were also exciting races. Timon Pretzel from Osterholz-Scharmbeck landed in the 15th place in the men with a time of 1:46:30 hours, while Charlotte Grass (Grasberg) conquered seventh place with 1:52:07 hours. Carolin Schinkel (without a club, Lilienthal) and Dagmara Kania (without a club, Lilienthal) also showed strong performance and occupied places in the top 10 of their categories.

A look at the children's runs

For children and adolescents, running events such as the Bremen bridge run are of great importance. There are around 3,000 running events for children in Germany, with distances vary depending on the age. The bamboo runs are often shorter than 1,000 meters, while pupils and adolescents can run two to three kilometers. It is gratifying that children can participate without a member of the association - so every young sports enthusiasts can tackle a competition.
