A big plus of the new management is the fact that the meeting place was previously broke for a long time due to an acute shortage of skilled workers. The housekeeper and the chairman of the board of directors have provided support, but now Schamberg hopes to establish the AWO as a fixed point of contact for the community. A full schedule is waiting to be filled.

AWO President Kathrin Sonnenholzner warns that social work is over because more and more people are dependent on support. The planned federal budget, which provides for massive cuts in social care, is sharply criticized by the AWO. The social offers of the community are at stake and require all the more commitment from everyone involved.
