Great progress: Expansion of the Sandwehen secondary school until 2028!

Blumenthal, Deutschland - in Blumenthal something happens in school development: the Sandwehen high school is about to extend a comprehensive expansion, which should be completed by autumn 2028. Holger Franz von Immobilien Bremen gave the advisory board Blumenthal first insights into the exciting project. The building application will be submitted quickly after the expected approval of the project funds in March 2026, which means a future -oriented step for everyone involved. With this measure, the class containers of the high school will soon be a thing of the past - that speaks for themselves!

In his presentation,

architect Stefan Feldschnieders emphasized how the planned measures will enhance the existing structures. One of the decisive elements includes gutting the old building and installing a new kitchen, which is supposed to deliver 450 meals a day. In addition, a new sewer pipe system is planned for the future district heating network. The geometry of the new class wing is also connected to the ventilation system, which ensures a pleasant learning climate.

a new chapter for the students

The expansion will not only benefit the student: but also create a new entrance perspective that elegantly connects the cultivation with the cafeteria and the old building. A two -storey educational building is planned, the ground floor of which will act as a control center with an extended cafeteria and cafeteria. On the upper floors there are four classrooms and a differentiation room - learning becomes a pleasure!

The reactions to the project are consistently positive. Headmaster Stephan Wegner praised the successful cooperation of everyone involved. Marcus Pfeiff (SPD), advisory board spokesman, was also pleased with the planning and cooperation. Hans-Gerd Thormeier from the CDU also described the project as "urgently needed", while Holger Jahn (CDU) praised the design of the new classrooms. Overall, the advisory board unanimously welcomed the result of the planning and asks the educational department to agree to the project and provide the required costs.

school building in Bremen

The project is part of the larger school -political framework in Bremen, where numerous school construction projects are currently underway. As the educational server reports, school building not only includes new buildings, but also the renovation, modernization and management of schools. The school authorities are responsible for this, while the country offers support through funding programs. Investments in the school infrastructure are important in order to meet the increasing number of students and create a modern learning environment. In Hamburg, for example, an increase of 40,000 students is expected by 2030: what creates further need for action.

For the Sandwehen secondary school in Blumenthal, everything indicates that a good knack for the future of education is shown here. The measure is not only necessary, but also represents an important step towards modern school architecture. In Bremerhaven and other cities you will have the eye on this project, because a good example can further strengthen the educational landscape in Bremen.
