SV Grohn dominates 5: 1, but still dreams of climb!

In the last point game of the national football league, SV Grohn celebrated a brilliant 5-1 against OT Bremen. But the cheers about the high victory are clouded, because the dream of promotion to the Bremen league remains unfulfilled. Despite the clear dominance on the pitch, the path to the higher league led over a win with a difference at least four goals higher if the ATSV Sebaldsbrück, which also won, does not score. This prerequisite remained unfulfilled, and so the season for Grohn ends in third place in the table, two points behind the promoted Sebaldsbrück, who triumphed with a 4-1 win against VfL 07 Bremen.

The players of SV Grohn showed offensive from the start. After only ten minutes, Dustin Lübber took the lead, and in the 30th minute Kevin Kujawa expanded the lead to 2-0. OT Bremen was able to score the goal to 2-1 shortly before half -time, but Grohn could not be disturbed. Lübber was particularly accurate that day and marked two more goals in the 73rd and 84th minute, while Muhammet Özkul set the final signal for the celebrations when he started 5: 1 in the 87th minute. Even if Lübber finally saw a yellow-red card due to a tumult, this did not detract from the mood among fans and in the team. Coach Jan-Philipp Heine was ceremoniously congratulated with sparkling wine after the game, while the club is targeting new destinations with a view of the next season.

a new attempt for Grohn

player coach Heine expressed the clear wish to create the promotion to the Bremen league in the coming season. "We have a strong team cohesion and we are building on that for the next season," said Heine. The club chairman Torben Reiss also emphasized the impressions from this year's season and sees the team well positioned for a new attempt next season.

Despite the defeat for OT Bremen, the result means the bitter out for the team, which now descends into the lower league. In another important game, TSV Grolland secured the class stay with a 3-1 win over TuS Schwachhausen.

The LTS was also able to celebrate with an impressive 6-1 win against an unknown opponent, and Luca Kieferhl, Aike Horstmann, Max Norden, Augusto Correira-Nguema, Fardin Azi and Gökhan Yücel scored the goals. Coach Sasa Pinter was more than satisfied with his team's performance.

In the meantime, TuSpo Surheide defeated TSV Grolland 5-1, and FC Sparta celebrated its first competitive victory in 2025 with a 2-1 against VfL 07 Bremen. TSV Wulsdorf, on the other hand, had to be content with a goalless draw against FC Huchting, where coach Lukas Kretschmann spoke of a solid combative performance of his team.
