New hiking project in Schwanewede: collect and discover stamps!

In Schwanewede, something exciting for all hikers is happening! On Thursday, June 19, a new hiking project will be officially launched, which brings the nature and culture of the region to shine in its own way. Initiated by Round Table 92 Bremen-Nord, six exciting hiking routes were created in the center of the center place.

What exactly does the hikers expect? The new hiking books, which are available for just two euros, not only offer an overview of the various routes, but also useful information on scenic sights and historical backgrounds. On double pages, hiking friends can make themselves smart over the various routes and explore the surroundings. The route is available via a QR code that can be easily downloaded.

The routes in detail

The shortest route begins on the natural history path along the picturesque Schwaneweder Beeke and is 7.1 kilometers long. If you like it a little longer, you can venture on the 12.8 -kilometer route around Meyenburg, which also leads past a historic water mill. Further tours lead through the teaching trail and to memorials in Neuenkirchen, which are reminiscent of the Nazi past, and show the tranquil valley of the Schönebeck Aue in Leuchtenburg.

A special highlight of the new hiking offers are two recently developed routes for Brundorf and Aschwards that are based on citizens' suggestions. In Aschwarden the path runs between an old windmill and the dike, while Brundorfer Weg leads the hikers to the Heidhofer Teiche nature reserve and to a war memorial.

collect

stamp and more

Another interesting aspect is the stamp: on various stamp boxes that are placed between June 17th and the official start on the 19th, the hikers can collect stamps for their hiking book. Six such stamps entitle the bronze to the discounted acquisition of the hiking nobility, which is available in the town hall of Schwanewede. This collection system should not only serve for motivation, but also consolidate the connection with the region.

The project is aimed at a wide audience and offers offers for family outings, sporting challenges and relaxed walks. The public opening on June 19 at 3 p.m. at the historic watermill in Meyenburg is accessible to anyone interested and promises to become a real meeting point for hiking enthusiasts. The first stamps are distributed on site and information about the routes is provided. There is also time for exchange and encounter what makes the event a special experience.

With this new offer, Schwanewede not only wants to inspire the local hikers, but also attract visitors who are interested in the natural beauties and cultural treasures of the region. Naturt tourism is of great importance, because more and more people are looking for opportunities to escape everyday life in their free time and enjoy the beauty of nature, as the BTE Tourism reports.

With a positive response, an expansion of the project is already being planned, which may even introduce silver and golden hiking badges as a reward. Schwanewede is thus a real hiking hotspot and invites you to explore the wonderful routes and recharge your batteries in nature!
