Habenhausen gets handball talent faciejew from their own youth!
of the ATSV Habenhausen is optimistic about the coming season after the association has qualified for the new handball Bundesliga of the male B-youth as part of the relegation. This league will be created for the 2024/25 season and consists of 48 teams that will compete in four seasons. A real reason to joy is the young talent Vincent Faciejew, who rises from his own ranks to the men's team.
faciejew not only emerged in the last season of the B-Youth Bundesliga with impressive 147 goals in 13 games, but also played in the U17 national team. His performance is remarkable: in the B-youth he became the best scorer in his relay and is now going into the new challenge with a goal cut of almost nine goals per game. The ATSV trainer Matthias Ruck is enthusiastic and not only emphasizes his talent, but also his attitude. Unfortunately Faciejew will miss the start of the new season due to an injury, but managing director Thomas Hasselmann remains optimistic that he will come back more.
The relegation in focus
The relegation that helped the ATSV to the ticket for the Bundesliga was an exciting event in the Hinni-Schwenker-Halle. Coach team and players were able to use the home advantage to prevail against well -known opponents such as HC Bremen, MTV Braunschweig and TuSpo Weende. In a memorable first tournament game, ATSV and HC Bremen separated 14:14, the latter decided to throw seven meters. But the ATSV was unimpressed: After a clear 23: 7 victory against TuSpo Weende and a surprising 21:10 victory over MTV Braunschweig-in which they already led 9: 6 at half time-the boys from coach Thomas Krüger were impressively secured the place in the Bundesliga.
The success in the relegation was supported by the closed defensive performance of the team, which Krüger particularly praised. IREK Faciejew was referred to in the coaching team as a “locomotive”, which illustrates its central role in the tactical orientation.
A look into the future
In the new league, ATSV Habenhausen will not only be about asserting yourself. The structure of the youth league B-youth male stipulates that the teams compete in a preliminary round, followed by a demanding master round. Here it will be all the more important to show consistently good performance in order to qualify for the next rounds. The top three teams of each preliminary round group move into the master round, where the hunt for the move into the quarter -finals begins.
ATSV Habenhausen has taken a big step in the right direction with the qualification and commitment of talents such as Faciejew. From the coming season, a cooperation with HC Bremen will also be received, which will open up new opportunities.
The handball world is eagerly observed how the ATSV will be asserted in the new Bundesliga and whether Vincent Faciejew quickly finds back onto the playing fields.
