Dance fever in Bremen: 1,000 couples and 6,000 nights at the DSF!
The Dance Sport Festival (DSF) in Bremen again inspires dancers and spectators from near and far. From June 6th to 8th, 2025, the event will be held for the fifth time under the patronage of the Bremen Grün-Gold Club (GGC). At this large -scale event, around 1,000 couples from 49 nations and over 1,500 starts are registered, which represents an increase of 290 starts compared to the previous year. Organizer Roberto Albanese is confident that the festival can continue to take a positive development in the future and sees potential for at least 2,000 couples in the coming years.
The organization of this event is not a cardboard stick: around 300,000 euros are estimated for the event, and the money comes from starting fees, sales of admission tickets for the gala night and sponsors. Bremen business development supports the event with a guarantee of over 20,000 euros, but Albanese wants more support from the city of Bremen. After all, the DSF should not only be a dance competition, but also bring positive economic effects for the city and the surrounding region. Studies show that sporting events can generate long -term advantages through increased tourist income and media attention. At the same time, the actual costs are often higher than originally planned, which requires sustainable event planning.
attractive competitions and international participants
The festival attracts the best dancers from all over the world. With around 60 judges, mostly international, and 30 tournament officials, the event is professionally positioned. You can look particularly excited about the WDSF World Championships, where, among other things, 201 couples in the Seniors IV Standard and 68 couples will compete in the under 21 Latin category. The soloists are not neglected either: 102 talented dancers have registered for the World Cup Female Solo Latin. This variety of competitions contributes to the attraction of the DSF and manifests the importance of this event for the dance sports community.
Gastronomy in Bremen will also benefit, because the expected 6,000 hotel accommodation and the influx of visitors will provide a lot of hustle and bustle in the restaurants and shops of the city. There is clearly something for the local economy and the creation of jobs, which is of great importance for the organizers and the city.
a strong team and look into the future
With a dedicated team of around 200 volunteers, the event is actively supported. Trainer Roberto Albanese not only honors his protégés, but is also particularly pleased about the success of his daughter Luna and other couples in the youth field. The DSF has firmly established itself in the general public and will continue to grow with the aim: Especially if the financial means allow it, the festival should remain a tried -and -tested highlight in the Bremen event calendar in the coming years.
The Dance Sport Festival is in the starting blocks! Bremen citizens and visitors can look forward to an attractive weekend full of dance, excitement and international flair. Visit the website for more information and to immerse yourself in the tournament process: dsf.ggcbremen.de .
