Serious storms flood Paderborn: the hall roof collapses!

Paderborn, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland - A violent storm has been in suspense since Sunday, June 15th. The German Weather Service (DWD) has published severe weather warnings for large parts of the country, including Bremen. Regions in the south and east are particularly affected, while a warning level 2 applies to Bremen. Thunderstorms and heavy rain move across the country with a storm front from west to east.

Paderborn met it particularly strongly in North Rhine-Westphalia. There, 30 to 40 liters of rain were measured within just three hours, which led to numerous floods. The fire brigade recorded almost 200 missions and fought with full basements and flooded streets. A hall roof in Eggertstraße also collapsed, which led to damage to the sprinkler system. In addition, a possible tornado is suspected in Altenbeken, the reports of which are currently being checked by the DWD. According to reports, water damage occurred in the Paderborn hospital that affected the elevator and several areas.
