Dramatic attack in Bremen: Unknown people ignite and smear authorities!
In a worrying incident in Bremen, unknown people set several car tires on Wednesday night. Witnesses reported hooded people who were active on a street and lit the tires. During the extinguishing work, the emergency services met on lubricants on two federal buildings, including the Bundeswehr career center and the main customs office. Perpetrators had thrown glasses with colorful liquids against the facade, causing a window of the Bundeswehr career center. They also left the lettering "no war" on the facade of the Bundeswehr building. In addition to the attempted slump into the Bundeswehr building, the damage is estimated to be a low five -digit amount. The investigation was immediately handed over to the State Protection. A letter of confession that is circulating increases the fear of a political motive behind these deeds.
The background of these aggressive actions could be viewed in a larger context. In Berlin-Spandau there was recently a similar incident in which unknown arsonists set fire to several vehicles from the Bundeswehr. A letter of confession on the "IndyMedia" platform, signed by the group Agenda2029, clearly commented on upgrade and arms exports. The police also take this incident very seriously and initiated the investigation, since there is presumably a political motive behind the attack. Passers -by had noticed the fire and called the fire brigade, but seven vehicles were damaged. Such incidents raise questions about security and extremism within the Bundeswehr. As in Bremen, the fire brigade reacted quickly to prevent further damage. The deeds show how such extremist views are common in our society.
The role of the Bundeswehr and extremism
The Bundeswehr has been the focus of public debates on extremism since its foundation more than 70 years ago. According to a report by the Federal Office for Military Shield Service (BAMAD), a total of 1049 suspected cases were processed in 2023, of which 776 cases affected right -wing extremism. A large part of these suspected cases can be attributed to soldiers, especially for younger members of the army there is a striking proportion. The political pressure on the Bundeswehr to check their structures in terms of extremism is growing steadily. Despite the falling numbers of suspected cases, public attention remains high, especially in times of social polarization.
The Bundeswehr has long taken action prevention. The review of applicants and training for superiors are important steps in combating extremist tendencies. The traditional decree of 2018, for example, clearly distances itself from the Wehrmacht and tries to promote a modern, democratic self -image. Nevertheless, the Bundeswehr is increasingly pressure in today's society to draw clearer lines compared to extremist views and to deal with such incidents more transparently. Even in the current arson attacks, it must be clearly determined where the motivation of the perpetrators comes from and how such tendencies can be suffocated in the bud.
