a piece of history and a comparison to Europe

A little review: Until the end of the 19th century, shops in Bremen were still open for up to 18 hours a week. It was not until 1919 that Sunday was determined as a day off, with certain exceptions in the shopping law. Today Bremen, surrounded by Lower Saxony, is the smallest state of Germany in the far north. Compared to other European countries, the regulations in Germany look quite restrictive. While shopping times are more relaxed in the east of Europe and in countries like Spain, shops in Italy are often only open on special Sundays.

If you have a good hand while shopping, you should take the opportunity! In addition to the specified opening times on June 29th, other exciting events can also be visited in October and November. news.de and buy offline have all important information ready. We look forward to a colorful and lively Sunday!
