Gröpelingen relies on green: Together for biodiversity and climate protection!

In the Gröpelinger Lindenhof district, more green ensures a fresh wind and a better climate. On 74 hectares and around 7800 inhabitants, Bremen shows how to combine climate adaptation and the preservation of biodiversity. The core of the project is the EU project "Biodive Cities", which has been pursued in eight North Sea cities since September 2022. The aim is to strengthen biological diversity and adaptability to climate change in urban spaces, such as the Weser-Kurier The project is borne by the environmental department, Bremen Environmental Consulting (BUB) and the Artec Research Center for Sustainability at the University of Bremen.
