Change of office at the Johanniter: Bratmann takes over from Kalm!

August 14, 2025 was an important day for Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V. in the Harz-Heide regional association. Christoph Bratmann was ceremoniously introduced into his new voluntary position as local representative. The ceremony took place in the Church of St. Martini, where his predecessor, Gudula von Kalm, was bid farewell in a heartfelt service. She had worked tirelessly for the Johanniter for over 20 years and was recognized not only for this, but also for her commitment to broad training in first aid at schools and other voluntary positions.

The introduction by Christoph Bratmann was carried out by Dirk Gähle, Sven Heine and Heinrich von Bünau. Inge Matern, the regional pastor of the Lower Saxony/Bremen regional association, led the liturgy. Mayor Dr. Tobias Pollmann gave a moving speech and described Gudula von Kalm as a stroke of luck for the organization. She also served on the executive board of Johanniter-Cruz and received the Federal Cross of Merit in 2015 for her outstanding achievements.

A new chapter for the Johanniters

Christoph Bratmann, who is also trained as a teacher, brings a lot of experience. After most recently working as a teacher at the Goslar-Baßgeige/Seesen vocational schools, he is also a councilor for the city of Braunschweig and chairman of the SPD council group. His commitment to civil protection and emergency services is also reflected in his political career, which has taken him to the Lower Saxony state parliament since 2013.

Bratmann would like to continue the tradition of his predecessor and places a particular focus on the topics of safety and assistance. In his first statements he emphasizes that civil protection is not only a duty, but also a community task. Among the guests at the ceremonial introduction were the chairman of the SPD parliamentary group in the state parliament, Stefan Politze, and the Braunschweig police chief Thomas Ring, who both expressed their best wishes to Bratmann.

Cryptocurrencies on the rise

Bitcoin has recently seen a surge above $11,400, supporting the independence of major crypto pairs. Other digital currencies such as Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Cardano have also increased in value, increasing the momentum in the crypto world. These developments are particularly exciting as they enable new trading strategies and could provide a breath of fresh air in trading.

Internet security precautions

In an increasingly digital world, the security of online accounts has also become important. If you want to get back a potentially hacked Microsoft account, you should follow a few steps. First, it is advisable to remove malware or viruses from the PC before changing the password. A full system scan using an updated antivirus is essential, and Windows provides helpful built-in solutions for this. After that, a strong password should be created and the account settings should be checked.

The current events surrounding the Johanniter, the developments in the area of cryptocurrencies and the importance of digital security show how dynamic and diverse our everyday life is. Whether volunteering, investing or online – there is always something new to discover and learn.
