Bremen takes off: New direct flights to the Canary Islands from October 2025!
The anticipation of sunny travel destinations is growing! From October 26, 2025, thanks to the German airline Sundair, there will be new direct flights from Bremen to four Canary Islands. There are flights to Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Tenerife and Lanzarote - great news for anyone who wants to escape the gray weather in Bremen. Bremen Airport has once again demonstrated a good knack for offering its travelers attractive connections.
The flight data is also promising: Gran Canaria will be served on Saturdays and, from February 8, 2026, also on Sundays. The flight to Fuerteventura is on Mondays and Thursdays, while Tenerife is on the itinerary on Wednesdays and Fridays. For anyone wanting to explore Lanzarote, Ryanair offers a connection every Wednesday. The cold in Bremen quickly becomes a minor matter!

But Bremen has even more to offer: it is also very well connected to Mallorca. Ryanair flies there four times a week, while Eurowings flies to the popular island again on Tuesdays and Sundays until mid-November and from February 1, 2026. If you prefer to go to Turkey, you can fly to Antalya daily with SunExpress until mid-November and up to four times a week thereafter. And Ryanair provides short trips to Andalusia with three weekly flights to Málaga.

Bremen Airport: An important location
With a catchment area of 13 million people, Bremen Airport plays a central role in the region. Historically, not to be forgotten, the airport was opened in 1909 and was the first in Germany with a paved runway. The location is not only of interest to leisure travelers, but also a key player in aerospace in Europe.
Of course, environmental and noise protection play a central role: the airport has once again emphasized that these aspects continue to have priority in the winter flight schedule.
It is pleasing that all flights in the new winter timetable can already be booked. Bremen Airport once again offers attractive opportunities to leave the cold season behind and soak up the sun - all that's left to say is: pack your bags and head south!
