Ulrike Hiller defends herself against allegations: SV Werder Bremen's supervisory board election is coming up!

The next few weeks will be marked by crucial decisions for SV Werder Bremen. A central issue is the election of the new supervisory board, in which some well-known faces will no longer be running. The names Ulrike Hiller and Dirk Wintermann have come into particular focus because the election committee did not nominate them to run again. Loud Dike room Hiller rejected the allegations that she had not contributed enough to the committee work and admitted that she may have been “too forceful and uncomfortable” in her role.

But the critics shouldn't be so quick to make up their minds. Hiller emphasizes that she has successfully pushed forward her main topics and has therefore taken great care of the well-being of the club. The election committee, which has been dealing with potential candidates since the summer of 2024, finally selected people who will be considered the club's new managers. Chairman Manfred Jacobi spoke of an intensive selection process.

The new faces on the supervisory board

The candidates Harm Ohlmeyer, Dr. Florian Weiss, Dr. Julian Deutz, Chadia Freyhat, Torsten Hoppe and Prof. Dr. Christina Reuter nominated. In addition, two replacement candidates, Lene Knoll and Daniela Schmidt, are available. Preparation for the general meeting

In view of the upcoming elections, the election committee, which acts as an independent body, has invited a human resources consultancy to provide support. This is intended to ensure objective criteria for the selection of candidates. Werder Bremen faces the challenge of presenting its members with a strong and well-functioning management body that meets the requirements of modern club management.
