Rail travelers between Bremen and Bremerhaven must expect significant restrictions in the coming weeks. From Monday, September 8th, trains on the route from Bremen main station to Bremerhaven-Lehe will be canceled. The regional express lines RE 8 and RE 9 are particularly affected, as they only reach Bremen Hbf during construction work and both end and begin there. The stops in Osterholz-Scharmbeck, Bremerhaven Hbf and Bremerhaven-Lehe are completely eliminated. A replacement bus service will be set up for passengers to fill the gap between the canceled train connections.
