Open Monument Day: Discover Bremen's treasures on September 14th!
On September 14, 2025 it will be that time again: Bremen will open the doors to numerous historical sites for the “Open Monument Day”. This year the event's motto is “Priceless or irreplaceable?” The goal is clear: to create awareness of the material and intangible values of our historically significant buildings and facilities. The commitment of volunteers who work tirelessly to preserve these monuments is also recognized. Denkmalpflege Bremen provides exciting insights into the program and events.
One of the outstanding attractions is the Riensberg Cemetery, which was created between 1872 and 1875 as one of the first park cemeteries in Germany. A guided tour will take place here on September 14th at 3 p.m., during which those interested can find out more about the history of the cemetery. Anyone who would like to take part should show up at the main entrance, Friedhofstrasse 51. This will surely be a touching experience that should not be missed. Kreizeitung

At the same time, the Bremen Organ Sunday concerts in various churches create an extraordinary atmosphere.
