New website for Lower Saxony: Public transport is now child's play!

What's new in public transport? Lower Saxony's Transport Minister Grant Hendrik Tonne is sending a clear signal with the presentation of a new central website named after fahrplaner.de hears. This innovative platform brings together all the necessary information about buses, trains, bicycles and car sharing in Lower Saxony and Bremen in one place.

The advantage? A clear simplification of the use of local public transport (ÖPNV). The managing director of VBN GmbH, Rainer Counen, emphasizes: “Less searching, more orientation” – a principle that will certainly please many passengers. Marcel Puppa, head of Niedersachsentarif GmbH, complements the initiative with a focus on a central solution for digital information and sales systems. A good hand was demonstrated here!

A wide range of information at one click

The website allows users to view interactive timetable information and access comprehensive information about tickets. Particularly practical: The FAQ section is aimed at anyone who still has questions about use or needs guidance. The FahrPlaner app, which was launched by the Bremen/Lower Saxony Transport Association (VBN), includes the tariffs of all associations and partner companies and enables routes to be planned and transport connections to be queried in real time.

Another highlight are the comprehensive ticket options, which range from single tickets to day tickets and the popular German and Lower Saxony tickets. This makes access to the wide range of offer categories much easier. The success of the project is underpinned by the support of the Lower Saxony regional transport company and the state of Bremen.

Optimal route planning made easy

The new platform offers a variety of functions that make life easier for public transport users. Passengers can simply enter their start and destination in VBN-Land - including Bremen, Hamburg and beyond. The choice of route allows for various options: from public transport to Park & Ride to car sharing offers such as Cambio or bike sharing through nextbike.

In addition, the website provides up-to-the-minute real-time forecasts for many connections, which is particularly useful for commuters. With these optimized options, traveling in Bremen and Lower Saxony becomes a pleasant experience.
