Frauke400 brings a breath of fresh air: pop songs in diamonds on September 13th!

Bremen is experiencing a breath of fresh air in the music scene. A special appearance is coming up next weekend: Frauke Wilhelm, known as the singing landlady “Ramona Ariola” of the harbor bar “Golden City”, is now performing under the new stage name frauke400 on. The woman from Bremen, who has offered stories, music and theater in her bar for over a decade, will be presenting her latest works on Saturday, September 13th, from 8 p.m. in the Karo (Reuterstraße 9). With her music she wants to make sounds that are long overdue heard.

Their new style, the “Neue Deutsche Welle for adults”, is anything but conventional. She reinvents pop songs with clear, memorable hooks, polyphonic vocal lines and experimental elements. Her tracks are a successful mix of gentle melodies and rocking sounds that are aimed at women over 30 and cover topics such as dementia and the challenges of life. Their performance will be accompanied by the Hamburg guest band Margins of April - an evening that should not be missed.

Unique sounds and creative self-production

Frauke400 not only produced her own music in her home studio, but also recorded flute and saxophone sounds. Their songs combine driving grooves with nostalgic 80s synthesizers and the characteristic sound of the Twäng guitar. This DIY approach is also reflected in the movement New New German Wave inspired by the music of the 80s, but emphasizing technological advances and individual creativity.

Inspired by artists such as Björk, David Bowie and Marianne Rosenberg, frauke400 shows how versatile modern music can be. Her lyrics are often direct, expressing the feelings of a generation that has faced isolation and exhaustion during the pandemic. She addresses current topics with her songs and manages to touch the concerns and hopes of her listeners.

A highlight of the Bremen music scene

Frauke400's first album, "Transformation", celebrated its release party at the Lagerhaus Bremen on May 23rd and captivated the audience with its 12 catchy songs. These also include texts like “MuttiMutti”, which vividly address communication with a mother with dementia. This personal touch attracts many fans and ensures a positive response to their performances. Further concerts are planned in Dortmund, Aachen and Berlin by the end of the year.

On Saturday, visitors to Karo can experience first hand how frauke400 conquers the stage. Their golden performance, a homage to their earlier times in the “Golden City”, promises to be an unforgettable experience. Bremen's music fans can look forward to a night full of individuality and memorable melodies.
