The German Red Cross (DRK) Bremen has launched the new aqua cycling courses, which are intended to appeal to people of all ages and fitness levels. These courses take place in the studio pool at Universitäts-Boulevard 18 in Bremen and offer an ideal opportunity to keep fit - without any prior knowledge. Registration is possible at any time and the offer includes several appointments per week.

The courses have the following times: Monday at 3:45 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 7:40 p.m. and Friday at 12:00 p.m. Aquacycling is a joint-friendly strength and endurance training that is carried out to rhythmic music and is characterized by a high fun factor. Thanks to the special conditions in the water, where the buoyancy minimizes the stress on joints, tendons and muscles, the training is easy to learn and is particularly suitable for older people or people with physical limitations.

Benefits of aqua cycling

The benefits of aquacycling are many. The water resistance ensures that training increases both strength and endurance while protecting the joints. “The water buoyancy relieves the strain on the muscles and enables effective training with a calorie consumption of around 300 to 500 kcal per hour.” (Fit Travel) confirmed.
