In the north of Bremen, it will soon be turbulent in traffic, because Autobahn GmbH has prepared a new construction site. From Sunday, October 12th, the access to the Ihlpohl intersection on the A 270 and B 74 from the direction of Burglesum will be renewed at around 200 meters. This measure is part of the comprehensive lane renewal, which has already been carried out in the past few months. How Weser courier reports, road users can continue to use the Autobahn 27, but as usual it will not work.
The renovation primarily affects Bremen-Nord's lanes, while the traces from Ritterhude are already completed. For drivers, this means a temporary detour to get to the city center. The traffic is guided past the construction site in one lane during the construction period, which can lead to delays.
Readings and closures
The intersection between B 74 and Bremerhaven Heerstrasse is completely blocked during the work. A corresponding diversion (U 11) is signposted, which leads to the east side of the Ihlpohl intersection via Bremerhaven Heerstrasse, Stader Landstraße and Stockholmer Landstrasse. These detour routes will be in force from October 12th to October 27th. In the night from 13th to October 14th, the A 270 in the direction of Bremen-Nord is also closed between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., and traffic is led to the Ihle Valley on Bremerhaven Heerstrasse. Another similar block is on the night from October 26th to October 27th.
The traffic routing is not only affected in the time of the main work. Even in the night from 14 to October 15th and on the nights on October 26 and 27, closures are planned to attach or remove lane markings. How Bremen News reports, the third and last construction phase of the road renewal begins on June 7, so that construction times can take a little longer due to the weather.
The construction work falls into the autumn holidays, which could make the traffic situation more pleasant - after all, less traffic can be expected. Nevertheless, Autobahn GmbH asks for patience, understanding and increased attention on the detour routes that will arise in order to handle the construction work smoothly as possible.
Even drivers who want to leave the A27 to Bremen-Nord should adapt to special diversions. Road users from the direction of Ritterhude reach the A27 junction Ihlpohl via the B74 to the A270 or the U1 to take the necessary detours. With a little strategic plan and a small portion of patience, it can still work out to avoid this work unscathed.
