Ten years of Hemelinger diversity: celebration, strolling and sport in the park!

There will be a celebration in the heart of Hemelingen next weekend! On September 6th and 7th, 2025, the tenth anniversary of the “Hemelinger Diversity” (HEVIE) project will be celebrated in Tamra-Hemelingen-Park. The colorful festival starts on Saturday at 1 p.m. and offers a diverse program over two days that has something to offer for every age group. What’s special: Sustainability is the focus. The event uses reusable boxes and deposited wooden coins, which are not only environmentally friendly but also strengthen the sense of community.

The annual festival begins with the “HEFLOH” flea market, which attracts numerous private sellers from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Here visitors can browse for bargains and discover one or two treasures. If you want to relax every now and then, there are comfortable seats in the park that allow you to take a breather while browsing. As bremeneins.de reports, the HEVIE Cup will take place from 2.30 p.m., a sporting competition with boules, beach volleyball and small-field football, which is aimed at participants aged 18 and over. You can win a wooden challenge cup here!

News and program highlights

What's new? A real highlight will be the HEVIE-RACE, an obstacle course for DUO teams aged 8 and over, where participants can compete in an exciting “Bike vs. GoKart” competition. From 6.30 p.m. DJ Toddy will ensure the party atmosphere with music and a dance floor in front of the stage. On Sunday it continues at 10 a.m. with a special breakfast for exhibitors and guests, followed by a buffet with regional delicacies under the motto “Made in Hemelingen”.

The program will be presented on the WESER-KURIER stage, where the well-known radio presenter Ansgar Langhorst will moderate the event for the ninth time. Guests can look forward to a varied offering that includes music, dance, art courses, workshops as well as games and fun for all ages. All of this makes the festival not only a meeting with neighbors and friends, but also a platform for creative minds and interested parties.

Sustainability in focus

As hevie-bremen.de emphasizes, the topic of sustainability is not only important for the festival itself, but is also becoming increasingly important in the city of Bremen. There is a growing awareness of climate-friendly solutions, particularly when organizing events. The city offers ideal conditions for organizing congresses and celebrations sustainably. Support such as the Bremen Convention Bureau is available at any time to ensure environmentally conscious implementation.

These events not only offer visitors a great experience, but also set an example for future viability and awareness in the use of resources. Bremen has already positioned itself excellently at numerous sustainable events, such as the 15th International Coral Reef Symposium 2022, and shows that an environmentally friendly orientation can be combined with joy and fun.

Overall, the “Ten Years of Hemelinger Diversity” festival promises to be a successful weekend that impresses with its diversity, community spirit and sustainability. So, let’s have fun in Tamra Hemelingen Park!
