Huchting indoor swimming pool and other Bremen swimming pools will be expanding their opening hours for the public from August. Visitors welcome!
Bremen pools start the autumn season with new opening times!
The outdoor pool season is coming to an end and the indoor pools in Bremen are entering the next round. After the summer holidays, swimming fans are looking forward to extended opening times in the city's popular pools. The Vegesack leisure pool will be one of the first facilities to start on August 14th, followed by the Huchting indoor pool on August 15th. These changes were made in a recent report dated Weser courier announced.
The Vegesack leisure pool offers different swimming times on weekdays for morning and evening guests. The opening times are as follows:
- Montag – Dienstag: 06:00 – 08:00 Uhr und 15:00 – 19:00 Uhr
- Mittwoch: 06:00 – 08:00 Uhr und 15:00 – 21:00 Uhr
- Donnerstag: 06:00 – 20:00 Uhr
- Freitag: 06:00 – 08:00 Uhr und 15:00 – 19:00 Uhr
- Samstag & Sonntag: 10:00 – 16:00 Uhr
Special features in the sauna areas
From August 25th, the Vegesack leisure pool will also be offering special sauna opening times, including a women's sauna on Wednesday and extended times for all genders on Thursday to Sunday.
The Huchting indoor swimming pool is also undergoing adjustments to its opening times. Here are the new times as of August 15th:
- Montag: 06:30 – 15:00 Uhr
- Mittwoch: 06:30 – 20:00 Uhr
- Freitag: 06:30 – 15:00 Uhr
- Sonntag: 10:00 – 16:00 Uhr
The sauna in Huchting also has a lot to offer, with special swimming times and women's sauna days.
A look at the other facilities
The Südbad, OTeBAD and the Vitalbad will also open on August 14th with their usual opening hours. In the Südbad, however, bathers have to prepare for a closed slide until the end of September.

Montag – Freitag: 06:30 – 21:00 Uhr
Samstag & Sonntag: 10:00 – 18:00 Uhr - OTeBAD:
Dienstag & Donnerstag: 06:30 – 20:00 Uhr
Samstag: 08:00 – 12:00 Uhr (öffentlicher Badebetrieb) - Vitalbad:
Dienstag & Freitag: 09:00 – 20:00 Uhr
Samstag & Sonntag: 10:00 – 16:00 Uhr
The Westbad, known for its extensive offerings such as sports pools and swimming gardens, has also proven itself. Visitors can swim here Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays it is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Despite the positive reviews, there are reports of disorder in the sauna area and dissatisfied guests with the cleanliness (you can see this at schwimmbadcheck.de ).
Bremen's indoor swimming pools not only attract swimming enthusiasts, but also offer an ideal atmosphere for relaxed sauna sessions and family-friendly activities. So nothing stands in the way of the new bathing season!
